This morning, FRC member Júlia Zomignani Barboza presented some of the findings of her PhD research during a migration, asylum and multiculturalism seminar at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels.
During her presentation, she discussed how Australia, Belgium and Canada regulate the situation of criminal migrants in need of protection in their territory. She also assessed whether the measures in place in these countries comply with the international human rights framework, proposing an ideal solution to regulate the situation of these migrants.
Her work on Australia has been featured in the Refugee Survery Quarterly and can be accessed here.
