FRC member, Bianca-Ioana Marcu will hold the Virtual Lunch Talk "Biometrics, Facial Recognition and the Fundamental Rights of Migrants", on 19 October 2021, 12.30-13.30.
This Lunch Talk will be a conversation around the use of biometric data particularly in the migration management context. It will cover some of the potential impacts of this use on the fundamental rights of migrants, particularly the impacts on migrant children. The intention here is to focus slightly less on the purely technical side of biometrics, and to highlight some of the impacts associated with the use of this data in different contexts.
This cycle of events is organised by the European Association for Biometrics.
Attendance is free of charge but registration is required.
