The Fundamental Rights Research Centre (FRC) is proud to announce the publication of a new book by our Sibel Top, postdoctoral researcher and managing director of FRC. Titled "Extradition and Political Crimes: The Use of the Political Offence Exception in Europe", the book explores the evolution and current use of the political offence exception to extradition in Europe.
Focusing on the frameworks of the Council of Europe and the European Union, as well as the Catalan independence crisis, this timely work examines how some European states continue to apply this exception despite its restriction or abolition in many areas.
