FRC member, Bianca-Ioana Marcu, has just published a new blogpost "Eurodac: Biometrics, Facial Recognition and the Fundamental Rights of Minors" in the European Law Blog.
The blog post features an analysis of the current proposal to amend the Eurodac Regulation, and its impacts on the fundamental rights of minors. It focusses on the proposal to lower the age for biometric data collection from 14 to 6 years old, the potential for introducing facial recognition technologies, and what these new methods of data collection may mean for data subject rights in the GDPR.
