FRC Researchers Paul de Hert & Barbara Huylebroek Contribute to European Parliament study on Effective Access to Justice

FRC Researchers will be contributing to a research paper, commissioned by the European Parliament on Effective Access to Justice.

The paper will address the main areas:

• identify and explain the issues affecting access to justice, which have been raised in petitions to the European Parliament, in 8 selected EU Member States (Croatia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Spain and Slovakia);

• understand the reasons why the citizens of these countries have turned to the EU institutions to seek help with those issues;

• identify the tools and mechanisms available to EU institutions to improve access to justice for EU citizens.
