Prof. Dr. Sofie Royer took part in a debate on security and privacy together with investigative judge, Philippe Van Linthout, and privacy expert, Joris Vaesen. The participants discussed the EU proposal to scan private communications in the fight against images of child abuse, the numerous cameras in public spaces, and the use of facial recognition technology by law enforcement authorities. The conversation was published in De Morgen and in Humo.
Sofie also discussed the same EU proposal with investigative judge Philippe Van Linthout in a radio interview in De wereld vandaag on Radio 1 (vrt).
