On 8 November, Amy Weatherburn attended the author workshop for the forthcoming Edited Volume on Migration & Diversity as part of VUB POINcaré Initiative (2019-20) organized by the Brussels Interdisciplinary Research centre on Migration and Minorities (BIRMM) a VUB centre of expertise. The workshop was an opportunity for authors of the book project to convene to discuss the next steps and further improve upon the content. Amy Weatherburn and Paul De Hert have contributed to the book with an opinion piece that discusses the extent to which legal channels for migration is the best response to minimizing the risk of labour exploitation. The book will be finalized in early 2020, with a launch anticipated in Autumn 2020.
