MYRIA, the Federal Centre for Migration in Belgium, today launched its annual report on trafficking and smuggling in human beings. It includes the annual overview of the situation of human trafficking and smuggling in Belgium, and this year, includes a focus on forced begging.
FRC member, Amy Weatherburn, contributed to the drafting of the report with an external contribution on the situation of forced begging in Belgium and Romania, co-authored with Adelina Tamas, Specialist police officer-sociologist, Research and Public Information Centre, National Agency against Trafficking in Persons Romania.
