On 14 February 2019, FRC will join partners in FRA’s multidisciplinary research network, FRANET, in Vienna on 14 February. This will be a first meeting of the newly-reconfigured network, established in November 2018.
FRANET is composed of contractors in each EU Member State, and former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Serbia who, upon request, provide relevant data to FRA on fundamental rights issues, to facilitate the agency’s comparative analyses. FRA establishes new contracts every four years following the public procurement procedure. The current network was established in November 2018 for a four-year period. During the meeting, the contractors will reflect on the current state of fundamental rights in Europe, and the role of FRA and FRANET. They will also discuss the upcoming research projects as well as the best working methods.
