On 30 October 2019, FRC Member Amy Weatherburn will present at a one day conference “Critical perspectives on modern slavery: law, policy and society” at the University of Hull. She will present as part of a panel that focuses upon “The false virtue of modern slavery law and policy. A critical examination of the law and policy obstacles to achieving a robust response for human trafficking and modern slavery victims”. Her paper will consider the policy responses to modern slavery and their implementation in light of labour market practices.
